Question by waldschatten: Medicaid Dental?
Wondering of anyone knows how to find a dental service that takes medicaid in Washington State. I’ve been doing web searches for a day now and can’t seem to find anything that serves people over 21 years of age on medicaid. I broke my tooth and have gone through way too much orajel in the past 24 hours, on top of that I think it may be getting infected since I had a fever last night, and even 1800DENTIST doesn’t seem to be able to help me locate someone who will fix this on medicaid.
I’ve been trying for days to find a dentist and no luck so far, I’d leave right this instant if I could find someone who could get me in and work on it, course with a bay due soon I don’t have the money to pay out of pocket for dental work and need to find some place where it is covered. Trust me, I’m not procrastinating anymore, it’s time for this thing to come out!

get to a dentist fast otherwise your insurance wont have a tooth to fix!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn’t there a county health department near you that performs these procedures. Here where I live they will take you on an emergency basis and fix your tooth on a sliding scale.
Your case worker, as well as your Department of Social Services, has a list of dental providers who participate with Medicaid……. they should have given it to you, along with a list of medical providers. Give them a call.

Try contacting your local dental society. Most states and cities have them. Some counties have them as well. Most have websites and are named after their prospective cities, states and counties. They should be able to give you the names of dentists that accept Medicaid.
I am so sorry….go to er…they can block the pain and recommend a dentist that takes medicaid…the best of luck
